Proud Supporters of the 2024 First Coast Heart Ball

This past Saturday, March 2nd, Fickling Constructions had the honor of being part of an exceptional evening filled with purpose, passion, and philanthropy at the 2024 First Coast Heart Ball organized by the American Heart Association (AHA). The event, dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke, was not just a gala; it was a manifestation of hope and unity toward a healthier future for all.

The evening was a spectacular display of community spirit and generosity, with the AHA gathering unique auction items, crafting a fabulous dining experience, and creating a high-energy atmosphere of entertainment. Overall, it was an exceptional night celebrating the AHA’s mission to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.

A highlight of the evening was the partnership with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the “Bring a Ball to the Ball” initiative. This creative twist to the event brought fun and purpose together, encouraging guests to bring an athletic ball from their favorite sport. The collected balls were donated to Play 60 schools on the First Coast, supporting the NFL Play 60 Challenge. This four-week program inspires kids to engage in the recommended 60 minutes of physical activity daily.

The Heart of First Coast Heart Ball symbolized more than just an evening of fundraising; it was a gathering of individuals united by a shared purpose to contribute to the critical funds needed for the AHA’s life-saving work. For nearly a century, the AHA has been at the forefront of the battle against heart disease and stroke, aiming to save and improve lives. As the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to this cause, the AHA’s goal is ambitious yet simple: a world free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Heart disease remains the No. 1 killer worldwide, with stroke following closely. The impact of these conditions extends beyond mortality, affecting the quality of life and causing disability for many.

Fickling Constructions is immensely proud to support the American Heart Association and the First Coast Heart Ball. Through events like these, we can collectively make strides toward healthier communities and a healthier world.

As we reflect on the success of the 2024 First Coast Heart Ball, we are reminded of the power of community and the importance of every contribution towards fighting heart disease and stroke. We are inspired by the AHA’s relentless efforts and are committed to continuing our support for their noble cause. Together, we can be a formidable force for change and fight for the health of all!
